Looks like Jungle Cruise 2 is officially a go over at Disney.

Fans who enjoyed Walt Disney Studio’s action packed Jungle Cruise can look forward to setting sail down the river yet again.

According to Deadline, Disney is already in the process of developing a sequel to this year’s action comedy feature.

Already on board to return for Jungle Cruise 2 are actors Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, who starred in the first film’s maiden voyage as skipper Frank Wolff, and Dr. Lily Houghton, respectively.

Also reportedly returning for the sequel are Jaume Collet-Serra, who served as director on the first film, as well as Michael Green, who will once again pen the script.

Disney has yet to comment on the news, but Johnson himself left fans wondering if perhaps a sequel might be on the horizon over the weekend.

The actor took to Instagram to share a highlights reel of some fun press junket moments between himself and Blunt over the weekend.

“THANK YOU guys for discovering and loving our movie and already making JUNGLE CRUISE the biggest family blockbuster of 2021,” wrote Johnson in the caption of the post. “PS ~ we have some big jungle cruise news coming next week….!!!”

News of a Jungle Cruise 2 comes hot on the heels of word that Disney is already developing a sequel to 2021’s “Cruella,” which would once again find Emma Stone starring as the titular villain.
