Descendants: The Royal Wedding is set to find Mal and Ben gearing up to tie the knot— but a new teaser shows that the happy couple will have quite a few hurdles to overcome before they get to say “I do.”
Mal and Ben have been through quite a journey together over the course of the last three Descendants movies, but now, the happy couple are gearing up to tackle their biggest adventure yet: marriage.
Their wedding might be the most highly anticipated social soiree in all of Auradon, but a new teaser trailer unveiled by the Disney Channel reveals that they happy day might not go off without a hitch.
“It’s finally happening! I can’t believe we’re getting married,” declares Mal (Dove Cameron) in the animated teaser.
“Happily forever after,” promises Ben (Mitchell Hope).
Just before the teaser wraps, we hear the voice of Hades (Cheyenne Jackson), who doesn’t seem all too enthused about his daughter’s impending nuptials.
“Happily ever after?” Scoffs the villain. “Since when do villains care about happy endings?”

Others set to lend their voices to the upcoming animated special include Sofia Carson (Evie), Booboo Stewart (Jay), Sarah Jeffery (Audrey), Melaine Paxson (Fairy Godmother), China Anne McClain (Uma), Jedidiah Goodacre (Chad), Anna Cathcart (Dizzy), Dan Payne (Beast), and Bobby Moynihan (Dude the Dog).
Descendants: The Royal Wedding is set to premiere via the Disney Channel on Friday, August 13.
