Last night’s Biggest Loser finale revealed the winner had lost 150 pounds, and hit a body mass index that is below what’s considered a healthy rating.

Biggest Loser contestant Rachel went from 260 lbs to 105 lbs, meaning she lost 155 through the NBC reality weight loss program. She is 5’4″, meaning her current body mass index is rated at an 18 – that’s .5 below what is considered “underweight.”

Last night’s finale was live to reveal each contestant’s final numbers, meaning the show’s trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels saw Rachel and the others for the first time. This photo of their reaction to seeing Rachel for the first time shows that viewers weren’t the only ones shocked by the loss:

Many viewers say that her weight of around 150 lbs – depicted in the previous episode – was much healthier, and that she shouldn’t have gone further.

In the clip below you can watch her final weight be unveiled for the first time, and at the 48-second mark you can see Bob and Jillian’s reactions:

People in the comments of this video expressed their approval and disproval. “Better underweight than obese,” wrote one. “As long as she’s eating healthy and not malnourished then I think she’s going to be great. Let’s also remember she’s 5’4″.”

Another commenter noted that it was perhaps the money that motivated her to lose enough weight to ensure she wins. “There is a prize of $250,000 that is a life changing prize for most people, and I’m sure the money had a lot to do with the weight loss Rachel had set for herself.”

Most, however, didn’t approve of how much weight she lost out of concerns for her health.
