The Diary of a Teenage Girl hits theaters today, and we wanted to celebrate by giving away two prize packs featuring a copy of the graphic novel and the film’s soundtrack on vinyl!

Based off of the graphic novel The Diary of a Teenage Girl: An Account in Words and Pictures, the film follows 15-year old Minnie, a burgeoning cartoonist, as she comes of age in 1970s San Francisco. In the midst of sexual discovery, Minnie documents her thoughts, actions, and major life events as she wrestles with her sexual appetite and her vision of the world.

The graphic novel serves as a pseudo auto-biography of the author/illustrator Phoebe Gloeckner’s life, and brings a refreshingly honest portrayal of the troubles that young women face as they grow up in a society that both glorifies and detests female sexuality.

Starring Kristen Wiig, Alexander Skarsgård, and Bel Powley, the film examines the same harsh, unflinching reality of Gloeckner’s life, and critics have been going crazy for the interpretation.
