Disney has just announced it will publish a new book based on the upcoming made-for-TV film, which will be written by Blue Bloods author Melissa de la Cruz.

Disney Channel’s upcoming original movie about the teenage children of some of Disney’s most infamous villains may not be set to premiere until 2015, but Disney is already making plans for a book that will be set in the same realm of the film.

The upcoming book based on the characters of Descendants is set to be penned by best-selling author Melissa de La Cruz — author of novels like The Witches of East End and Blue Bloods. But rather than being an adaption of the film or a sequel to what happens after the movie ends, de la Cruz’s upcoming book is set to be a prequel.

Disney announced plans for the book version of the Descendants prequel on Wednesday and revealed that the title of de la Cruz’s upcoming book will be Isle of the Lost. The summary for the upcoming book reads as follows:

“Legend has it that long ago, the most infamous villains were imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, cut off from the rest of the world as punishment for their misdeeds. In this dark and dreary place, the likes of Maleficent, Jafar, Cruella de Vil, and the Evil Queen reside and evil reigns supreme. Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are their descendants, teenaged sons and daughter of the Isle’s most villainous characters, and they are coming of age on the Isle of the Lost.

Melissa de la Cruz weighed in on the upcoming novel set to tie into Descendants saying, “I am absolutely thrilled and honored to have been chosen for this fantastic project…The opportunity to write and expand the story with these beloved characters is a dream come true for this disney aficionado!”

Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Prequel is set to hit shelves on May 5, 2015.
