The last two Harry Potter films’ Ultimate Editions finally have a release date in the United States.

UPDATE: There is some debate over whether or not these are the Ultimate Editions, as Amazon does not explicitly state so. We believed they were because they are made up of four discs (like the others) and were set for an October release, like Amazon German said. We’ll keep you updated!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Ultimate Editions will be released October 16, according to Amazon.

Both are currently available for pre-order at $30.99 a piece: Part 1, Part 2.

The Ultimate Editions for the six previous films were released at a steady stream over the past few years, but the final two had seemed to have gone rogue. Some fans think their release was delayed in order to make room for Harry Potter Wizard Collection’s September 7 release.

The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2 Ultimate Editions will include Parts 7 and 8 of Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary. Wizard’s Collection has these two parts of the doc too.

Amazon Germany had originally listed an October date for these Ultimate Editions last month.

Thanks, Derrick.
