The first trailer for the Dear Evan Hansen movie is here and its bound to tug at all of your heartstrings.

Fans of the Broadway hit musical, Dear Evan Hansen can finally get a taste of what’s in store when movie musical adaptation hits the big screen.

On Tuesday (May 18), Universal unveiled the first full length trailer for the Dear Evan Hansen movie, which finds Ben Platt returning to reprise his Tony Award winning titular role.

Set to the song “You Will Be Found,” the trailer introduces viewers to the titular Evan Hansen— a high school student grappling with his own mental health who, at the behest of his therapist, writes letters to himself.

When Evan’s fellow classmate, Connor Murphy, takes one of his letters just before Connor takes his own life, it sets off a series of events that culminate and spiral into a massive, complicated lie. Suddenly, Evan finds himself forging relationships with the Murphy family, and all while pretending to have been Connor’s one and only friend while he was still alive.

Behind the camera, The Perks of Being A Wallflower vet Stephen Chbosky serves as director on the project, Meanwhile, Steven Levinson, who wrote the book for the stage musical, has adapted the script for the big screen.

Others starring opposite Ben Platt in the movie include Kaitlyn Dever, Amandla Stenberg, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Danny Pino, and Colton Ryan.

The Dear Evan Hansen movie hits theaters on September 24.
