Two series regulars of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be leaving the show as it goes into its fifth season.

EW is reporting that Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford will be exiting the Arrowverse show, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Unfortunately for fans, the actors will not be starring in the show’s upcoming fifth season.

Brandon Routh has starred on the show as Ray Palmer since the very beginning, continuing to play his role from Arrow and The Flash. Courtney Ford joined the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow cast in season 3 as Nora Dahrk. She was promoted to a series regular for season 4 of the show.

We will definitely miss these characters in the series, but we may not have to say goodbye to them forever. While Routh and Ford’s characters, Ray and Nora, will be gone for a while, that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll never see them again. Offering some hope, executive producers Phil Klemmer, Grianne Godfree and Keto Shimizu told Deadline that “it’s never truly goodbye.”

“We hope to check in with them in future seasons,” they added. Hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will return to the CW for its fifth season in January 2020.
