An intense Dawn of the Planet of the Apes TV spot aired online last night with the Walking Dead season 5 finale, and it is now online.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 11, and promotion is starting to come full force.

The sequel to the 2011 released Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis as Caesar as well as Gary Goldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, and more.

The first trailer was released back in December and featured a very fierce Caesar. This new TV spot hints at the same thing.

The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes TV spot was released on the film’s YouTube account. Check it out:

“You know the scary thing about them?” an unidentified voice asks. “They don’t need power, lights, heat, nothing. That’s their advantage. That’s what makes them stronger.”

In other Dawn of the Planet of the Apes news, Collider just debuted a poster for the film that is unlike any promotion we’ve seen thus far. All we’ve seen of the apes is of them being scary, but this poster shows Caesar in a tender moment.

Official synopsis:

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
