BuzzFeed quizzes are everywhere, and even David Letterman can’t escape.

Last night on The Late Show with David Letterman a mysterious voice appeared that forced Letterman to take part in the annoyingly popular BuzzFeed quiz trend.

Watch Letterman take the “What kind of an ungulate would you be?” quiz:

After resigning to the fact that he has to answer the questions, and haven’t we all, Letterman answered the increasingly stupid questions.

The questions don’t make any sense, and that’s a little surprising given the fact that the quiz isn’t even real. Letterman’s staff managed to come up with a quiz that made less sense than some of the BuzzFeed quizzes we’ve seen. Bravo.

“Well that was just stupid. That was just dumb,” Letterman said.

Yes it was, Dave. Yes it was.

More Letterman

Last week, David Letterman announced his somewhat surprising retirement from The Late Show. He’ll tape his last show some time in 2015. The show began in August 1993.

There’s been serious debate as to who should take over for Letterman when he does retire. The race would seemingly be wide open. We speculated that it could be Letterman’s CBS partner Craig Ferguson, host of The Late Late Show, Jon Stewart, Chelsea Handler, Conan O’ Brien, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Neil Patrick Harris, Ryan Seacrest, or Ellen DeGeneres.

It has been reported that CBS’ top option to take over The Late Show would be Stephen Colbert, host of The Colbert Report. Colbert is “currently the front-and-center candidate,” something that makes sense with his fanbase devotion and his ability to appeal to a younger audience like NBC’s Jimmy Fallon, something CBS will be desperate to do.
