In tonight’s episode of ‘Psych’ entitled “Office Space,” the Santa Barbara Police Department gets a special visit from renowned guest star, David Koechner.

Viewers may recognize him as Todd Packer from The Office, or Champ Kind from Anchorman (a role he is set to reprise his role as in Anchorman 2 next year), or from a myriad of other project he’s worked on over the years, but on tonight’s Psych, he appears to play a more regulated and, well, stiff, character than we are used to seeing from him.

The official synopsis of the eleventh episode of the season, “Office Space,” was released by USA Network:

After Gus accidentally tampers with the crime where his boss was killed, Shawn helps him find the real murderer before Gus is arrested.

Check out this short clip the Psych Facebook page released yesterday of the new episode. It seems that while Shawn is still king of noticing the particular details of a scene, Koechner’s character appears to know something the rest of them do not.

Additionally, USA Network released the synopsis for next week’s episode, “Dead Air”:

After Shawn and Gus’ favorite radio DJ is murdered, they go undercover as on-air personalities to find his killer.

Once “Office Space” concludes tonight, we only have five more episodes left in season seven. While it has already been an eventful season, viewers still have the much-anticipated one-hour musical episode that is sure to be one for the history books. It will be interesting to see where we leave these characters as Psych heads into hiatus. While it is comforting to know Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) will be back for season eight, anything beyond that (such as a season nine) is questionable, at best, at the moment.

Be sure to watch ‘Psych’ tonight at 10pm on USA Network!
