Following this morning’s announcement of the nominees for the 84th Academy Awards, David Heyman, producer of the Harry Potter series, commenting briefly on the lack of any major nominations for Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Speaking to The NY Daily News, Heyman had this to say:

“What I am very happy about is that the audience seemed to respond and that’s really the important thing, isn’t it. But you know what? I’m really happy that the arts department and the special effects department and the makeup department were all recognized.”

What do you think of Potter‘s Oscar fortune? Did the film deserve other recognition or are the three nominations it achieved good enough recognition?

Thanks to Mugglenet.
