Time is winding down for the seniors at McKinley High School. But, Darren Criss isn’t at all worried about his character, Blaine, as he shares some interesting insight into what will happen to the show for the rest of this season, as well as some interesting details about what’s going to happen to Kurt and Blaine! [Minor spoilers ahead!]

Speaking to TVGuide.com, Darren doesn’t seem worried about the trajectory of the show after this season, which could lead to some of the original members of the series saying goodbye:

“This goes back to the beginning of the season where everyone was in a huff about people graduating and leaving, but I don’t think it’s a matter of saying goodbye so much as it is about moving on,” he told TVGuide.com. “It’s about having a departure point and having grown into another person from the person you were when you started high school.”

Does that mean we’ll be watching the seniors at college and/or their post-high school plans?

The way Darren is talking, it sounds like the show is going to be completely rebooted after this season:

“[Series boss] Ryan Murphy is a big believer in the idea that high school is a machine where you come in as one person and you exit another,” Criss continued. “This last season is more about growing and learning new things and being a new person and bringing that to the next step in your life. I don’t think it’s a hard-fact farewell per se as it is cathartic change and the beginning of a new chapter. You have every conceivable kind of plot point that could yield those changes between [Finn and Rachel’s] engagement, Quinn’s car accident… so many things that are yielding new life.”

When asked to talk about Kurt and Blaine coming to terms with the possibility of Kurt moving to New York City, Darren says that it’s definitely going to be addressed:

“That’s coming up for sure,” Criss said. “Those are the biggest stakes for Kurt and Blaine and that’s something they’re about to learn to deal with.” Needless to say, Blaine will be supportive though, right? “Who knows? I have no idea. It’s going to involve music, I can tell you that!”

Finally, when asked about the upcoming Prom episode, Darren confirmed some rumors that had been circulating about the theme:

“It’s a dinosaur-themed prom because Brittany is class president and she’s managed to get her wacky ways through,” Criss said. “Kurt and Blaine obviously didn’t want a do-over of last time, so they’re going to take matters into their own hands. They’re going to do something very different to make sure it doesn’t happen that way again.”

That’s a lot of awesome information about the rest of season 3 and what’s going on with season 4. In episode 25 of Glee Chat, our own Roxanne Clark came up with an awesome theory that might have you saying, “Ohhhh, that’s it!”

What are your thoughts on what Darren had to say? Do you have any theories about what’s going to happen in season 4?
