Unfortunately no other details about his solo album were unveiled, so it looks like our first look at the songs will come at the “Listen Up” tour’s debut show in San Francisco on May 29.

Criss released this video to talk about today’s new album and tour announcement:

The venues on this tour compare in size to the ones played by Team StarKid on both their “Space” and “Apocalyptour.” Judging by the success the musical theater group had on their own breakout tours, it seems as though Darren’s shows will be appropriate for the spaces chosen.

In the past, Darren has generally performed completely solo with an acoustic guitar and keyboard, so this will be a new experience for him and fans.

Will you be able to attend one of Darren Criss’ live tour dates this summer?
