Darren Criss invited Chord Overstreet to join him on the Nashville leg of his tour and debuted a new song titled “I Don’t Mind.”

Last night on the Nashville stop of the Darren Criss “Listen Up” tour, Glee co-star and friend Chord Overstreet joined Criss on stage to perform for the crowd. The two friends reunited to play David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ and you can check out the video below to watch the performance.

Overstreet and Criss play extremely well off each other on Glee, and it’s exciting to see how that translates to something completely separate from the show. An obvious success, the two friends both sound great together and neither individual pulls focus for long.

Both musicians write and play their own music – so perhaps one day we could be lucky enough to see them collaborate on an original piece of music. Fans across the board would be more than willing to see what the pair could come up with, and there’s no doubt that the two would have fun bouncing ideas off one another.

At the Nashville event Darren also premiered his new song “I Don’t Mind.” Listen below.

Darren Criss – ‘I Don’t Mind’

The song is played acoustically with soft lyrics and a sweetly sincere melody. Almost more of a folk song in the way it’s presented for the crowd. This is a bit of a contrast compared to the more pop style we saw him covering during the kick off of his tour. But Criss is know for his wide range of musical influences, so it’s nice to see him experimenting with a variety of genres for his upcoming album.
