Though neither Darren Criss or Joey Richter are primarily known for their work in animation, Pat Brady, the agent who took a special interest in Team StarKid and now represents them, is principally an agent for voice-over clients, so Team StarKid have a great many ties to the world of animation and voice-over. For last year’s A Very Potter Senior Year, StarKid were able to rope in Bob Joles, Brady’s husband and one of the most recognisable voices in the animated industry, to perform as the “Voice of the Book,” humorously reading the stage directions to the audience.

Darren Criss has a few voice-overs to his credits: most of his fans will be familiar with Life of Leopold, the puppeteered Funny or Die series in which he voiced the lead character. He has also appeared in an episode of Archer, and more recently, The Cleveland Show. Joey Richter’s voice will appear in Khumba, an animated movie about a zebra, also starring Catherine Tate and AnnaSophia Robb. Joey played Ron in StarKid’s Very Potter series alongside Darren’s Harry, and of course, most recently appeared on his friend’s hit show Glee, though not acting directly alongside Darren.
