We did it – we made it through another summer of sparse releases as this week presents some promising titles in both the retail and downloadable space.
Our pick of the week is Darksiders II. The original Darksiders had a great premise that was backed up by tried and true game mechanics that echoed both the God of War and Zelda franchises. Publisher THQ is throwing a lot of weight behind the sequel in making the game a more epic experience.
In the digital sphere, Papa y Yo and Dust: An Elysian Tail release this week for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, respectively.
Gamescom is also taking place in Germany this week, so look for big news including a rumored PlayStation 3 remodel.
