Comic book nerds can be sexy too, as Christina Lauren proves in their latest novel Dark Wild Night.
Fresh out of college, three young women headed to Vegas to celebrate their past accomplishments and the life head of them. What they didn’t know was that their future husbands were there waiting for them — they just hadn’t met them yet. After a night of flirting and drinking Mia, Harlow, and Lola got hitched to their male counterparts Ansel, Finn, and Oliver.
The only couple not to consummate the marriage was Lola and Oliver, who did the responsible thing and planned everyone’s annulments. But something wild happened, Mia and Ansel decided they actually wanted to try and be together. Which caused a chain of events that forever changed these two groups, and made them one.
With Harlow and Finn recently together, everyone is just waiting for Lola and Oliver to realize that they’re perfect for one another. But are they ready to take the leap from best friends to something more?

If you’re a fan of the Wild Season series by Christina Lauren, Dark Wild Night won’t disappoint. Even if you haven’t read the series, Dark Wild Night won’t disappoint — but you should really read the rest of the series too.
Oliver and Lola aren’t like the typical romance couples many readers might be used to. For one, they’re both comic book nerds. But that’s what makes us love them most of all. For another, this pair didn’t experience a whirlwind romance. In fact, it’s been drawn out for three novels.
They met in the first Wild Seasons novel, Sweet Filthy Boy which focuses on Mia and Ansel. Then continued to torment us with their oblivious adorableness in Dirty Rowdy Thing that is Harlow and Finn’s story. Finally, we get a novel that focuses on on everything Lola and Oliver.
But don’t expect them to jump right into it. Both are still unsure for the first part of the novel. However, when they finally do realize that they just have to be together, it’s all the sweeter because of the wait.
Of course, not everything is perfect for Lola and Oliver — who are given the couple name of Loliver. The transition from close friends to lovers isn’t without it’s awkward moments. Especially when you’ve got the pressure of your entire group of friends watching your every move.
Lola is everything that Oliver ever wanted — she’s brilliant, sexy, smart, and not only does she like comics but she has her own published. Likewise, Oliver the calm, dependable, sexy nerd that Lola wants in her life. With a match like that they have to end up together, right? You’ll have to read Dark Wild Night to find out what happens between them!
