You may not immediately understand what this billboard was about had you not already been aware of The Dark Knight Rises, but how can we not get excited about this extremely effective and interesting viral marketing? Click image to enlarge:

You may remember the first Dark knight Rises poster below, which was revealed nearly a year ago. This billboard is surely a throwback to the first official teaser.

In other Dark Knight Rises news, the film’s Academy Award-winning cinematographer, Wally Pfister, was the keynote speaker for Campus Moviefest today (the largest student film festival) and just so happened to reveal that there would be an hour’s worth of fighting and action sequences in the final film. Pftister (pictured below) was also the cinematographer for director Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight and Inception.

It appears as though director Christopher Nolan is sending off his Batman trilogy in grand style July 20. Between an hour’s worth of action scenes and this clever billboard, we’re sure fans’ interest has about peaked for the epic finale.
