They’re sold out in most theaters. Some tickets are being sold by consumers for over $100. Without a doubt, The Dark Knight Rises is one film that many want to see at the stroke of midnight.

Me personally? I won’t be.

I actually don’t like any midnight screenings. I keep an early schedule (about 6 AM is when this writer rolls out of his California bed), so halfway through any midnight movie you’ll find me using the popcorn cup or significant other as a pillow.

I prefer to be fully awake when attending a film that I’m highly anticipating, because I don’t want to be sleepy through the best parts.

Of course they have their advantages. The most diehard fans can be found in these late night audiences. Things like applause at the title screen, laughter at even the slightest bit of humor, and audible sobbing at the saddest moments are all present and make the screenings special.
