The first full trailer for Daredevil season 3 is here, and it has utterly changed the game for Matt Murdock and the whole of Hell’s Kitchen.

Netflix has been dropping several teaser trailers to let us know that this season of Daredevil would change Matt Murdock forever. After Matt was presumed dead following the events of The Defenders, he’s back, but his entire outlook on protecting the city has changed. While he and Frank Castle used to butt heads over their conflicting ideas of how far was too far for a vigilante to go, Matt has embraced the darkness that is enveloping his city.

The trailer kicks off with Matt explaining his new outlook. While he initially used to listen to those asking for help, and he genuinely tried to make the world a better place, it didn’t take long for Matt to decide that “darkness only responds to darkness.” We’re bidding farewell to the do-good vigilante we knew and loved, and saying hello to the deadly, dangerous Daredevil in the brand new trailer for season 3. Except…is that really Matt in the red suit?

With Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, out of prison, life just got infinitely more deadly for Matt as Fisk is our for revenge. And just like Matt did his best to destroy Fisk’s reputation, Fisk is destroying the image of Daredevil, giving the suit to someone other than Matt to wear while terrorizing the city.

So just who is this masked man impersonating our dear Matt Murdock? It is, in fact, the villain known better as Bullseye making his big Marvel Netflix debut. While it’s unclear if we’ll actually call him Bullseye this season, Netflix has confirmed that Wilson Bethel will be playing Benjamin Poindexter, which is one of Bullseye’s aliases.

This season is going to be a game-changer. We can’t wait to see Matt face off with Bullseye, and we are so ready for this new chapter. Daredevil season 3 will premiere on Netflix on October 19.
