Bad guys – and Matt Murdock – should look out, as Scott Glenn returns as the blind badass Stick in Daredevil season 2.

Glenn appeared in only one episode of the Netflix series’ first season, but is booked to return for three episodes of season 2.

As the ruthless blind man who trained Matt to fight, meditate, and exploit his enhanced senses, Stick served as both a mentor and an adversary to the future crime fighter. But though differences of opinion (and daddy issues) came between them, it remained clear that Stick still had a destiny in mind for Matt Murdock.

The chance to bring Scott Glenn back for Daredevil season 2 also appealed the show’s creative team. Among his impressive past credits, Glenn has appeared in Silence of the Lambs and Training Day, and was recently seen on the HBO series The Leftovers.

“After seeing Scott’s performance in the first season, we knew that we had to bring him back for more,” says Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb. “He is an extraordinary actor and we leapt at the chance to expand on his adventures with Matt and Daredevil.”

Executive producer and co-showrunner Marco Ramirez agrees.

“In some ways, Stick is to Marvel’s Daredevil what Scott Glenn has been to film and TV – a magnetic and awesome force to be reckoned with,” he tells Marvel. “It’s an honor to welcome him back, and the Daredevil team can’t wait to unleash Scott’s unique brand of bad-assery upon the world in season 2.”

Also joining Daredevil season 2 are Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (aka The Punisher), Elodie Yung as Elektra, and Stephen Rider as District Attorney Blake Tower.

Daredevil season 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix in 2016.
