Before Daredevil season 2 airs on March 18, refresh your memory with where Matt, Foggy, and Karen have already been and where they’re going next.

Last year, Daredevil quickly proved it was a force to be reckoned with. It gave us a slice of the MCU we had never seen before, and thanks to Netflix and everyone involved with the show, it keeps delivering excellence episode after episode, and even helped set up Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the collective Defenders series.

‘DAREDEVIL’ SEASON 1: WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN?

By the end of Daredevil season 1, we got a good look at the main players in Hell’s Kitchen, though with the introduction of Jessica Jones and the upcoming series based on Luke Cage, plus everything that’ll come afterwards, we know the world is much bigger than just Nelson and Murdock, Attorneys at Law. Season 1 saw the birth and death of some major characters and their alter egos, and ahead of season 2, we’re here to remind you where we left everyone in the finale.

⦿ Matt has decided he’s not a killer. By letting Fisk live, he’s dedicated himself to protecting his city, but on the condition that he doesn’t become the type of person he’s fighting against.

⦿ The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen has a brand new name and a shiny new suit. He’s officially called Daredevil, and his iconic red costume with the horns is now fully realized.

⦿ Nelson and Murdock, Attorneys at Law has hung its sign and the duo is ready to take on any case Hell’s Kitchen has to throw at them.

⦿ Foggy knows the man in the mask is his best friend, Matt Murdock, and while he still has his doubts, he’s ready to support Matt in his campaign to clean up the city. But it doesn’t mean he has to like it.

⦿ Foggy’s relationship with Marci, the meat grinder in the pencil skirt, is complicated at best. They’ve slept together at least once, if not more, since Foggy’s “breakup” with Matt, and Marci was instrumental in taking down Wilson Fisk’s network. Could she be looking for more than just a booty call with Foggy?

⦿ And what about Foggy’s relationship with Karen? He’s definitely interested in her, but the trailer for season 2 put Matt and Karen in the rain during what looks to be a touching moment. Maybe Foggy will be too worried about who’s beating up his best friend to deal with romance this year.

⦿ Karen’s story is certainly the most mysterious out of the trio’s at the moment. She killed Wesley near the end of season 1, which means she’s not only dealing with that trauma on her own, but if Fisk ever finds out the truth, he would stop at nothing to murder her.

⦿ We know nothing about Karen before she moved to New York, other than it seems like she was a completely different person until something major happened in her life. Plus, it sounded like she had shot someone prior to turning the gun on Wesley.

⦿ Karen still doesn’t know that Matt is Daredevil. Will she find out in season 2?

⦿ By the end of season 1, Fisk was locked up and staring at the prison’s version of Rabbit in a Snowstorm to keep him calm and grounded.

⦿ Vanessa was swept away on a chopper to who knows where. Will she have a hand in breaking Fisk out of jail or will she be heading up his operations in his absence?

⦿ Most of Fisk’s allies are dead, including Wesley, Leland, Nobu, and the Russians. Madam Gao is the only survivor, and other than saying she’s going a “considerable distance farther” than China, we have no idea where she ended up.

‘DAREDEVIL’ SEASON 2: WHERE ARE THEY GOING?

As Daredevil season 2 looms on the horizon, we’ve got all the relevant details regarding the sophomore run of the show. Here’s everything you should know going into this season regarding Matt, Foggy, Karen, newcomers Frank Castle and Elektra Natchios, and more.

⦿ Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will take over as showrunners from Steven DeKnight and will bring us another 13 episodes.

⦿ Jon Bernthal will join the series as Frank Castle, otherwise known as The Punisher, a vigilante anti-hero who’s willing to go one step further than Matt when it comes to cleaning up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. We have an intense breakdown of his trailer here.

⦿ Elodie Yung will portray Elektra Natchios, the “Greek girl” mentioned in passing during season 1. She and Matt have a history, and Elektra will be seeking her ex-lover’s help. We have a detailed breakdown of her trailer here.

⦿ Scott Glenn is returning as Stick. While comic book fans may have a guess as to why he’ll be showing up again, we’ll keep that under wraps in case you don’t want to be spoiled.

⦿ Rosario Dawson reprises her role as Claire Temple, the nurse who has somehow found herself helping superheroes on the side. Be prepared to see the consequences of her sneaking Luke Cage out of the hospital at the end of Jessica Jones.

⦿ Wilson Fisk’s arrest opened the door for several other players to start wreaking havoc this season. The Yakuza in particular are making their presence known, and what they’re up to could be bigger than anything Matt has seen before.

⦿ The Punisher was apparently so great that Netflix is working on a Frank Castle spinoff series. (And we can confirm Jon Bernthal is absolutely incredible in the role.)

⦿ Make sure you rewatch the final episode of Jessica Jones if you can’t recall who D.A. Samantha Reyes is (as played by Michelle Hurd). She’s even more of a pain in the ass for Nelson and Murdock than she was for Jessica.

Are you looking forward to ‘Daredevil’ season 2?
