It’s officially official: Daniel Craig has confirmed to Stephen Colbert that he is indeed back as James Bond for the fifth time.

Appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Daniel Craig confirmed what we already knew: That he is indeed reprising his role as 007 for another round:

“I couldn’t be happier,” Craig tells Colbert. The actor previously stated that he’d “rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than do another movie, clarifying in a separate interview that if he did return he’d only do it “for the money.”

This will be his fifth Bond movie in a row, and the 25th James Bond movie overall. Craig tells Colbert that he expects this one to be his last, saying, “I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note.”

Five movies in a row seems like a lot, but this only makes Daniel Craig the third-most recurring actor in the franchise: Roger Moore holds the record with seven movies, and Sean Connery is close behind with six (seven including Never Say Never Again, which was an unofficial production).

The 25th James Bond movie has a scheduled release date of November 8, 2019. It has no director yet, although Yann Demange is the rumored frontrunner.
