Watch the stars dish on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars below:

Alexa and Carlos PenaVega will be the first married couple to compete on the show. This almost came to pass in season 8 with Ty Murray and Jewel, but Jewel was injured and had to drop out. Among the most exciting news is the triumphant return of fan favorite Anna Trebunskaya, who has been regrettably absent from the ballroom for five seasons. She has been the runner up twice (with Evan Lysacek and Jerry Rice); this is her eleventh season and she is therefore the pro most due for a win. Could this be her lucky season?

Also making his return after five seasons is this writer’s favorite pro, Louis van Amstel. In a bizarre coupling, the controversial Paula Deen (not known for her open mind) is paired with the show’s only openly gay pro dancer. Karina Smirnoff is back in the ballroom after taking the previous season off to promote a book she’d written.

The exchange for the returning pros is the conspicuous absence of some newer additions to the cast. Peta Murgatroyd was forced to drop out after an injury, and Artem Chigvintsev is nowhere to be seen. Kym Johnson is not part of the cast either, after making a successful return to the ballroom last season. Tony Dovolani continues to be the longest-tenured professional on the show, partaking in his twentieth season.

So who are your early favorites? Will Tamar Braxton surpass the eighth-place peak of her older sister? Will Nick Carter surpass the fifth-place peak of his younger brother? Will Carlos PenaVega surpass the fourth-place peak of Big Time Rush bandmate James Maslow? It’s going to be an interesting season!

‘Dancing With The Stars’ season 21 premieres September 14 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC!
