Actor Dan Radcliffe loves the stage. He’s returned to the West End for his third theatrical production The Cripple of Inishmaan, and photos from opening night are now online.

In The Cripple of Inishmaan, Radcliffe plays a disabled teen in 1934 named Billy Claven. He lives with his “aunties” on the isle of Inishmaan, which is off the coast of Ireland.

Radcliffe and The Cripple of Inishmaan have been very positive so far. The actor “has the precious gift, vital in a play full of narrative surprises, of seeming artful and vulnerable at the same time.” said Michael Billington of The Guardian. He “proves, as he did in Equus, that he is a fine stage actor with a gift for playing social outsiders.”

Radcliffe’s first West End debut was in Equus opposite Richard Griffiths. After a run in London he moved to New York City to host the play there. A couple years later he premiered in the musical revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway.

The Cripple of Inishmaan runs from now through August 31.

Radcliffe has a slew of movie roles coming up in the next year. This October you’ll see him in two movies: Kill Your Darlings as beat poet Allen Ginsberg and the supernatural drama Horns. Next year you’ll see him in the romantic dramedy The F Word.
