Harry Potter star Dan Radcliffe has been very open as of late while he’s promoting The Woman in Black. We heard him speak about his drinking problems a week ago, and now he admits he considered leaving the Potter franchise following the filming of Prisoner of Azkaban.

Reports The Fan Carpet:

“There was a time after the third film when I thought about quitting, it was only for a second, but I thought, ‘If I do the fourth, I’ll have to do them all’, and that seemed quite daunting.

If I was going to leave, that would have been the perfect time because it would have given whoever came in to play Harry enough films to establish himself properly. It wouldn’t have totally dumped him in the s**t. But then I started thinking, ‘What other good parts are there for 15-year-olds? None’.”

It’s understandable that the actor found the prospect of several more Harry Potter films daunting, but we’re glad he stuck with it! We imagine Warner Brothers would’ve thrown some serious money at him if he went to them and said he wanted out.
