While at the Governor’s Ball following last night’s Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night, Harry Potter star Dan Radcliffe spoke about meeting and presenting an award with Twilight lead actress Kristen Stewart.

Being the gentlemen that he is, Radcliffe wanted to take care of Stewart who showed up to the event on crutches after suffering a foot injury. “I felt so bad. I just wanted to pick her up, put her in my arms and carry her onto the stage.”

Continued Radcliffe to E! Online, “I probably would have dropped her and opened her wound again. I felt like this was a long time coming. I feel like we’ve been meant to meet. This was the perfect way. And you know what? She is so nice—really, really nice.”

We jumped right on that ultimate-fandom-crossover moment last night and shared several tweets from viewers who were not happy that the two stars appeared together. Most of them, in our opinion, were Twilight haters who feel insecure about another fandom coming up in popularity a few years ago.

Was putting the two lead actors together on stage a great idea or a great idea? And let’s face it: We’re glad they finally met. They’ve both known Rob Pattinson for some time, so this is only fair.
