Promoting the upcoming miniseries A Young Doctor’s Notebook, Sky Arts released a short but sweet video preview of the show that stars Dan Radcliffe playing Jon Hamm’s younger self.

As you can see from the still below, captured by Snitch Seeker, the pair were able to pull of similar looks and facial expressions which sell us on the idea of Radcliffe playing the younger version of Hamm’s character Dr. Vladimir Bomgard.

This still is taken from the below promotional commercial which includes looks at various Sky Arts programs hitting the airwaves in the coming months:

Hamm is best known for his role as Don Draper in Mad Men but has also appeared elsewhere, including the 2011 comedy Friends with Kids. Radcliffe is of course known for his lead role as Harry Potter in the eight-film franchise. He’s pursued many film and television projects as of late to extend his career far beyond playing a boy wizard.

Yesterday, Sky Arts released the first official photo from the series, depicting a serious Radcliffe as Young Dr. Vladimir Bomgard. A Young Doctor’s Notebook debuts December 6 and is inspired by a collection of short stories by Russian writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov set during the Russian Revolution.
