Although it had been confirmed that Damian McGinty would not be a part of Glee season 4, it looks as though he may return, if just for one episode.
Tweeting to fans today, Glee creator Ryan Murphy responded to a question about Damian McGinty, to which Ryan suggested he will return after all:

In July, Brad Falchuk had said that Damian would not be returning for the first half of the season at the very least:
“Damian is not back this year,” he said. “The second half of the season, who knows. Right now, he won’t be in the first half of the season.”
Looks like plans have changed! You can never believe anything these Glee folks say these days.
