The CW has ordered three more scripts for each of its new fall shows The Originals, The Tomorrow People, and Reign.

The CW has a history of only ordering full seasons for shows that are runaway hits, and after its first two episodes, The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals has an established fanbase, but has not emerged as the “breakout hit” of the year (yet). Since only “Always and Forever” and “House of the Rising Son” have aired, we are not doubting that The Originals will prove to be a hit series for the CW, but as of now, we just have to continue to keep our fingers crossed.

The additional three scripts for The Originals are in addition to the five we already know about. The next three episodes to air, “Tangled Up in Blue,” “Girl in New Orleans,” and “Sinners and Saints” all have scripts completed and have begun production.

Three additional scripts were ordered for Tomorrow People and Reign (the latter premieres next week). The Tomorrow People, which debuted on Wednesday, received similar ratings to The Originals thanks in part to a lead-in from Arrow.

Keep in mind that as long as The Originals and The Tomorrow People continue to get these same viewership numbers (this week they both nabbed a 0.9 rating), there is a very good chance they’ll be picked up for the full season.

Make sure to tune in on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. for the newest episode of The Originals (Next Tuesday is episode 3, “Tangled Up in Blue” which shows all our favorites getting their party on) and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. for The Tomorrow People. Meanwhile, Reign premieres Thursday, October 17 at 9 p.m.
