The CW Upfronts revealed that the network has got a lot of exciting iron in the fire with a bunch of new shows joining the network’s family.

The CW has truly figured out how to build an empire of television shows. With the huge success of their DC superhero titles and the runaway hit Riverdale, the network is building something pretty amazing. And at this year’s upfronts, the network let us know which new shows will be joining the CW’s family of programming.

As Deadline reports, the CW has ordered a series of Batwoman starring Ruby Rose. This probably comes as a surprise to exactly no one, as Rose’s appointment to the role made huge news. Her appearance in the Arrow-verse in the Elseworlds crossover event created even more buzz around the character, and we’re so ready to see what Batwoman can do in her very own show.

In addition to Batwoman, Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene has also received a series order. The show will be headlined by Lucy Hale, who will play the titular character.

You can also expect to see a familiar face on the show. Riverdale’s Ashleigh Murray, aka Josie Jones, will be leaving Riverdale to join the cast of Katy Keene.

The other big show joining the CW is Nancy Drew. The iconic amateur detective will be played by Kennedy McMann, and will follow Nancy as she is forced to stay home from college after a family tragedy that leads Nancy down a path of ghostly sleuthing.

One show that won’t be joining the ranks at the CW is the Jane the Virgin spin-off, Jane the Novela. The spin-off was an anthology of Jane’s novels, with Gina Rodriguez, Jane herself, narrating each episode.

So while we’re bummed to bid a final farewell to the Jane the Virgin universe, we’re excited for what the future holds for the Arrow-verse, the Riverdale universe, and the new Nancy Drew series. There aren’t specific premiere dates for the shows, but we can expect them to premiere in the fall. We’ll keep you posted as more news breaks.
