An adaptation of Stephen King’s short story, The Revelations of Becka Paulson is currently in development over at The CW.

According to Variety, The CW is currently working on adapting one of Stephen King’s short stories into a brand new series.

Titled Revelations, the proposed new show would be based off of the author’s short story, The Revelations of Becka Paulson.

For those who might be unfamiliar, King’s short tale of a housewife who accidentally shoots herself in the head, and subsequently finds herself recruited by Jesus to help stop the apocalypse. So how will she have to do it? By proving that planet earth, is in fact, redeemable and worthy of saving.

This isn’t the first time King’s short story (which first appeared in a 1984 issue of Rolling Stone) has been given the adaptation treatment.

Previously, the story was adapted for the small screen as apart of an episode of The Outer Limits, which starred Catherine O’Hara, John Diehl, Bill Dow, Steven Weber, and Marylin Norry.

Over at The CW, the network plans for the proposed Revelations series to be a one-hour drama. Though the pilot has not been ordered to series just yet, The CW has wasted no time in finding creatives to helm the project.

In addition to announcing that the adaptation was currently in development, the network also revealed that they have tapped Last Man Standing vet Maise Culver to write and co-executive produce.

Also executive producing alongside Culver is Katie Lovejoy, who has previously worked on titles like Dracula, and The CW’s Dead Inside.

As Revelations is still very much in the early development stages, there’s no word on when we could potentially see the series premiere.
