In January we learned that The CW had ordered Beauty and the Beast and Sexy and the City (prequel) pilots. Today, the star of the latter show has been cast.
Carrie Bradshaw will be played by AnnaSophia Robb, perhaps best known for her role as Violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
She’ll also be playing Wendy in an upcoming Peter Pan film remake.
Robb will play a young Carrie in The Carrie Diaries. The show is described as following “the the life of a high school-aged, pre-Sex and the City Carrie Bradshaw.” Yep, details are scarce.
