The Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has unveiled a new on-sale date, as well as the prices of tickets.

Tickets for The Cursed Child on Broadway will be sold through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program. From October 1 to 5, fans hoping to see the play must register for a chance to purchase tickets. Just before tickets go on sale October 18 (the date was previously October 12, but The Cursed Child has delayed it slightly “to allow more time to identify and eliminate bots and scalpers once registration closes”), those who are deemed a “Verified Fan” will receive a single-use access code which’ll get them into the sale.

How will Ticketmater decide if you’re a real fan who’s not going to flip your tickets? “All those who register and are identified as genuine ticket buyers, not bots or scalpers, will be equally eligible to receive an Access Code. The selection process is randomized to ensure access to tickets is as fair as possible and is in no way influenced by a patron’s Ticketmaster purchase history,” The Cursed Child says in a press release.

Unlike recent Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift Verified Fan programs, The Cursed Child’s appears to not use anything like your concert or merchandise purchase history to determine whether you’re a legit Harry Potter fan.

‘Cursed Child’ Broadway ticket prices

The Cursed Child ticket prices were also revealed today. 150 tickets per performance cost $20, and 300 tickets per performance cost under $40. This means you can see both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for as low as $40 total.

Prices go up to $199 per performance. The Cursed Child will also bring their “Friday Forty” program over from the West End: Each Friday, 40 tickets will go on sale “for some of the very best seats in the theatre, at an amazingly low price.” More details are coming soon.

The Cursed Child begins preview performances on March 16, 2018, with an official opening set for April 22, 2018. Original cast members Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley) with Poppy Miller (Ginny Potter), Sam Clemmett (Albus Potter), Alex Price (Draco Malfoy) and Anthony Boyle (Scorpius Malfoy) are returning for Broadway.
