After nearly five years of waiting, Larry David has decided to move ahead with a ninth season of his beloved comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm.

HBO and the co-creator of Seinfeld announced Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 on Tuesday morning with a brief statement. A release date for season 9 wasn’t shared, but it sounds like Larry is finally ready to make another batch of episodes. From the press release:

“We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of CURB and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” said [HBO’s Casey] Bloys.

Asked why he decided to come back, David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”

HBO says that new details will be shared “as they are confirmed.”

The last season of Curb Your Enthusiasm aired in 2011. Larry David has always had a deal with HBO where he’ll only make new seasons once he’s ready.

David’s last project for HBO was the TV movie Clear History co-starring Jon Hamm and Bill Hader. It was basically a movie version of Curb.

Curb Your Enthusiasm co-stars Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, and Susie Essman.
