The book-to-TV adaptation of Robert Galbraith / J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike series is about to premiere in the United Kingdom.

BBC One has announced The Cuckoo’s Calling TV series will premiere Sunday, August 27 at 9 p.m. Now that we have an air date for the U.K., maybe HBO will soon announce the stateside premiere.

Details about future episodes are still scarce. We know the Cuckoo’s Calling adaptation consists of three episodes. The adaptations of the second and third books, The Silkworm and Career of Evil, each have two more. It’s not clear when Silkworm and Evil will be airing, but we know they’re already in production. Perhaps the dates will be announced after episode 3 of Cuckoo. We’ll keep you posted!

Unlike The Casual Vacancy (sorry), J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike detective series has been loved by readers of all ages.

“Robert Galbraith” and J.K. Rowling hosted a game on Twitter to reveal the title of book four (Lethal White) back in March but we still don’t know its release date. Up until Lethal White, the books were being released yearly.
