The cost of breaking a confidentiality agreement with bestselling author J.K. Rowling? £1,000 ($1,645).

In July of last year, London law firm Russells Solcitors’ Chris Gossage told a friend of his wife that The Cuckoo’s Calling author Robert Galbraith was a pseudonym for Rowling. The friend then tweeted the news, which was picked up by The Sunday Times, who confirmed it with the author’s representatives.

Damages were already paid for by Russells Solicitors, and the fine to Gossage was issued in November, but the exact amount was published today. The information was obtained by the Associated Press.

Rowling says she’s already finished the sequel to The Cuckoo’s Calling and it will be published sometime this year.

In a statement after the truth came to light about Robert Galbraith, Rowling said she had planned on waiting several more months before unveiling her secret. The book was only on store shelves for a few months before the leak occurred.
