The Criminal Minds season 14 premiere will mark its 300th episode, and it looks they’ll be bringing back some fan favorites for the occasion.

Very few shows will ever get to celebrate a milestone quite like a 300th episode. It would definitely be a shame if Criminal Minds didn’t take this opportunity to deliver a truly epic hour of television.

Luckily, it looks like they have no plans to let this chance pass them by. The show’s executive producer, Erica Messer, told EW that they’ll be paying homage to the entire series with the season 14 premiere.

There’ll be “exploration of the history of the show in the 300th episode, right from jump. Even when we would normally be doing a ‘previously on Criminal Minds,’ we give a little history lesson of the current team on the show.”

One way they’ll be rewarding long standing fans of the series is by bringing back some familiar faces, starting with Luke Perry! Perry is currently starring in Riverdale, but he appeared in season 4 of Criminal Minds as the cult leader Benjamin Cyrus. We have no idea how they’re going to pull this off, since Cyrus is dead, but Messer assured EW that “the plot will make sense.”

Criminal Minds will return on Wednesday, October 3 at 10/9c.
