Why write a story that takes place in 1969? My answer is pretty simple: it was the only way I knew of to time travel back to Woodstock (that is until I become the Doctor’s new companion and/or get my own TARDIS).
Even though the Woodstock Music Festival took place before my time, I’ve been enamored of it ever since I was a preteen. The music, the clothes, the atmosphere — everything about it seemed like the perfect culmination of a decade I wish I didn’t have to miss out on (once again, non-Time Lord problems).
So getting to research and write this book was probably the most fun I’ve ever had writing — and I hope that I can bring the joy of all that mud, music, and madness to readers, too!
Synopsis
