Fox and Glee have released a short but sweet tribute video in honor of Cory Monteith who died on July 13.

The brief montage is billed as a “Memorial Card” in the title on YouTube. The video includes a few clips of Cory as Finn, including one where he kisses fictional and real life girlfriend Rachel Berry/Lea Michele:

The video ends with the text message: “Cory Monteith / Forever in our hearts”

The purpose of this video is not clear given how short it is. Our best guess is that this may be aired during Fox primetime programming over the next few weeks. We’re sure that Fox and the Glee cast have much, much larger tributes in store to send off their beloved friend, co-worker, and actor.

At their Television Critics Association panel today, Fox confirmed that the Monteith tribute episode will center around drug abuse. It will air three weeks into the season 5 premiere. Network president Kevin Reilly also suggested that the show’s sixth season will be its last because they have two major arcs they are in the midst of telling.

Glee season 5 kicks off Thursday, September 26 on Fox.
