The penultimate episode of Constantine season 1 airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST on NBC, and Manny is getting his moment in the spotlight.

Previously on ‘Constantine’…

Last week’s Constantine saw John teaming up with an old friend to put a stop to a dimension hopping serial killer. When a group of students from the university got tangled up in the occult, it was a race against time to save their lives. Ritchie and John crossed over into Shaw’s world, where they needed to play by his rules.

Ritchie became a reluctant hero, as he cleverly changed the entire make-up of Shaw’s world, bringing light into it and destroying Shaw in the process. He was tempted to stay in the world he’d created, but John managed to convince him back to reality — where Ritchie decided to start really living his life.

This week will see Manny taking center stage, as John enlists his help at a hospital. But how well will Manny blend in with the rest of humanity? Only time will tell. And maybe we’ll get some answers about the enigmatic angel.

It looks as though we’ll be seeing a focus on faith in this episode, if Zed and John’s visit to a church is any indicator in the stills. John also appears to not make it out of the episode unscathed either.

The focus is definitely on Manny in this episode, as he adjusts to his role in the hospital. But just how well will he get away with blending in with humanity?
