Constance Wu could be joining the cast of another rom-com set to hit the big screen!

According to Vulture, Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming romcom centered on the idea of double pregnancies.

The flick, which is currently without a name, will serve as the directorial debut for Kimmy Gatewood (best known for her acting work on Netflix’s GLOW). The untitled project is also being executive produced by Elizabeth Banks.

Written by Savion Einstein, the upcoming film focuses on a charmingly chaotic woman (Wu) who suddenly finds herself having to get her life together quick when she becomes pregnant with two babies from two different men.

The concept may seem a bit far-fetched, but it turns out it’s a thing that could in fact happen in real life. While very rare, the correct medical term for such a situation is called Superfecundation.

The good news for fans of Wu’s work on Crazy Rich Asians and the hit sitcom Fresh Off the Boat is that the actress has quite a few projects coming down the pipeline.

For starters, she’s lent her voice to two projects — including this years’s animated short Crow: The Legend, which also features John Legend, Diego Luna, and social media star Liza Koshy.

Next summer she’ll also be lending her voice to the upcoming animated comedy Wish Dragon, which also stars Jackie Chan and John Cho.

Finally, 2019 will also find Wu starring in the upcoming dramedy Low Budget Ethnic Movie.

There’s currently no word on when the untitled pregnancy romcom will be hitting the big screen.
