Fans of all things Marvel can look forward to an epic assembly at Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., a new interactive exhibition coming to Discovery Times Square. The S.T.A.T.I.O.N. – which stands for Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network – will open on May 23, and will offer fans an up-close and personal look at the world of The Avengers.

Connecting with both the Earth-bound and extra-terrestrial elements of the Cinematic Universe, Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. will treat visitors as newly-recruited agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. According to the official press release, the exhibition will “[bring] to life the science behind Marvel Super Heroes,” and encourage hands-on participation in a simulated environment.

Several detailed renderings of the exhibit have been released, teasing a small part of the science, technology – and maybe even magic – which hopeful agents can expect to experience.

Seen below are S.H.I.E.L.D. briefing and induction rooms, Thor’s cosmic observatory, and the workshop of billionaire/playboy/philanthropist, Tony Stark.

In these rooms, fans will have the opportunity to engage themselves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The various segments of the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. will give visitors the chance to search the stars for Asgard, operate Iron Man’s suit, study Bruce Banner’s transformation into the Hulk, and – as if that were insufficiently exciting – physically test themselves against Captain America.

Once processed as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., visitors will also explore view “intelligence files, classified studies, and experiments” that recount “the history and scientific origins of Marvel’s The Avengers.

In addition, the new agents will be given a chance to study top-secret artifacts from the Battle of New York, which will include Captain America’s Birth Pod, the Tesseract Portal Device, Loki’s Scepter, and a hermetically sealed Chitauri.

Seriously, if nothing else, show up for the hermetically sealed Chitauri.

Tickets to Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. are currently on sale, and fans can follow the exhibition on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest information.
