Allison Brie stopped by The Daily Show with Jon Stewart last night to share a Community clip and talk about ukuleles.
What’s that old adage about putting one’s best foot forward? NBC must consider Allison Brie as Community‘s best foot. Just in the past couple of weeks she’s appeared on the The Late Show with David Letterman, shared her freestyling prowess on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and now last night she visited The Daily Show to chat with Jon Stewart. Check out their conversation below:
Brie’s heart must have skipped a beat when mentioned difficult actors behind the scenes. But thankfully, he was just joking about Daily Show contributor and former Community guest star John Oliver, and not the former lead actor whose name rhymes with Levee Pace.
That was about it though for Community talk, aside from a brief clip we have not seen before. In it, we learn that Jeff shares a resemblance with a certain Inspector Spacetime villain named Thoraxis. That should make his stay at the Spacetime convention slightly more tolerable (and something tells us that the character played by guest star and Cylon model #6 Tricia Helfer will have a small Thoraxis crush).
Instead the conversation turned to Brie’s burgeoning music “career.” Her band “The Girls” may only do covers and not play their own instruments but that didn’t stop Stewart (and most likely Andrew Sims) from needing to fan himself at the thought of a Bruce Springsteen cover. Thankfully the Internet is nice enough to have footage of said cover.
Brie does have a point in that knowing how to play instruments and compose music is kind of a crucial part of a establishing a music career but honestly, if her acting career ended tomorrow she could still tour the country with “The Girls.”
