The first Community season 6 trailer has arrived and takes pleasure in spoofing the upcoming Avengers sequel!
The nearly three-minute look at Community season 6 is set up like a movie trailer and features several new characters played by Paget Brewster and Keith David, as well as “New Shirley”.
The “Age of Ultron” parody suggests that maybe this trailer was intended for our eyes a little earlier. The season does debut in two weeks after all but hey: better late than never.
At least now we get to finally visually confirm that Community is coming back for real and it still looks like Community. Garrett is still freaking out over everything (FRISSSSBEEEEEES!!!!), Abed is still way too immersed in TV references (BAZINGA!) and Dean Pelton will still do whatever Jeff Winger says. We like that season 6 has finally dropped all pretense that Dean Pelton isn’t part of the study group and just plopped him down at the study table.
With no Pierce, Troy or Shirley, it could be a rather atypical season of Community. But new cast members Keith David and Paget Brewster seem like they’re going to be full-time study table-ers, with Dean going so far as to introduce Paget Brewster as “New Shirley.”
March 17 can’t come soon enough…which is good news because March 17 is coming real soon. “Let’s crap out this piece of crap.”

Community (or “Community: Age of Yahoo”) premieres March 17 on Yahoo! Screen. New episodes will be released every Tuesday.
