Community season 5, episode 3, “Basic Intergluteal Numismatics” airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. An unspeakable crime is afoot and the gang needs to know who is behind it.

The vast majority of Community‘s episode titles are modeled after class names that one might find in a community college, replete with the standard confusing jargon and Latin-bases.

So just for the heck of it, let’s break this one down. We all know what “Basic” means but, “Intergluteal?” Let’s see: gluteal refers to the four muscles that make up the buttocks and “inter…” oh, they’re talking about butts.

And “Numismatics?” That’s the study of currency, including coins or tokens. And just like that you have the name for an episode where a “bandit” stalks the halls of Greendale, putting coins in people’s buttcracks. It’s awesome having Dan Harmon back, isn’t it?

Yes, as evidenced in the original promo for Community season 5, Troy and several others will fall victim to this serial criminal and it’s up to the Gang to uncover the fiend’s identity.

Naturally, Jeff and Annie are on the job, reprising their roles as detectives from the Law and Order episode (“Basic Lupine Urology”).

Jeff will also become suspicious when someone makes a confession. We bet Chang is trying to take the fall.
