Community season 5, episode 11, “G.I. Jeff” airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Greendale gets animated… and this time it’s not claymation.

Last week on Community, the writers sequel-ized the popular “Dungeons and Dragons” with mostly successful results. This week Community returns to another popular well of content: animation.

Naturally there is a little twist. The show has already tackled claymation, puppetry and anime*. Now they’re going to be tackling standard 2-D animation (almost quaint, by Community‘s hugely ambitious standards) in a homage to the classic ’80s G.I. Joe cartoon.

*It wasn’t an entire episode but who could forget Jeff’s confrontation with Big Cheddar.

That’s right, an entire episode as an extended G.I. Joe PSA. It should be a good time on that alone, but there is still a mysterious journey that Jeff needs to get to the bottom to. These episodes have a habit of getting fairly poignant.

But at the very least, we’ll get treated to some Joe-ized nicknames.

Naturally Britta is “Buzzkill.”

Now all that’s left to do is hear what Hickey’s name will be. Probably Jim, the Duck.
