Cobra Kai fans won’t have much longer to wait before season 3 debuts on Netflix.

The good news is, Netflix has a treat for fans who just can’t wait to sink their teeth into new episodes.

On Wednesday (December 9), the streamer dropped the official trailer for Cobra Kai season 3, which teases the series dramatic return.

As fans who’ve been keeping up with the series know all too well, last season ended on a huge cliffhanger after a violent high school brawl between Daniel and Johnny’s dojos ended with Miguel (Xolo Mariduena) in the hospital looking more than a little worse for wear.

Now, everyone involved will find themselves grappling with the aftermaths of what transpired.

“The whole reason these kids got into trouble was because of us— we can’t let them suffer because of our issues,” reasons Daniel at one point. “The only way to end this is by working together. So, what do you say?”

Written and executive produced by Josh Heald, John Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, the series is a continuation of the iconic Karate Kid franchise.

The series is set three decades after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, but the tension between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) hasn’t quelled. In fact, it’s seeped over into their respective dojos.

Cobra Kai season 3 debuts in January 2021 on Netflix.
