Cobie Smulders sits down to discuss leaving behind the role of Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother, how much she knows about Avengers 2 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as her latest role in Delivery Man in this exclusive interview with Hypable.

Cobie Smulders has risen quickly over the past few years, moving from small roles in TV and film to her first major role on How I Met Your Mother in 2005.

She’s starring in multi million dollar blockbusters now and she had time to sit down and talk to Hypable about what it was like filming, Delivery Man as well as the status of all of the other projects she has her hand in.

The upcoming Delivery Man features the How I Met Your Mother alum as Emma, David’s pregnant girlfriend who struggles with whether or not she wants to have a child with him. Little does she know, he’s already a father of – uhm – just over 500.

Even though HIMYM takes place in New York, it certainly isn’t filmed there. According to Smulders, Delivery Man was shot on location in New York, allowing her to experience the city for herself instead just looking at the on-set backdrops.

She goes into further detail about the beauty of New York (including what it was like to film the entire climax of Delivery Man in a hushed tone…you’ll see what we mean when you see the film) in our exclusive interview below.

We know that we’ll be seeing Agent Maria Hill return in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but ever since seeing her make an appearance in the inaugural episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we’ve been waiting to catch the agent at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters again.

Not only did Cobie not seem to know about the upcoming Thor: The Dark World / Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. crossover event, but she danced around whether or not Marvel has contacted her about making a bigger appearance on the show.

If you fast forward to the 1:30 mark and pay attention to her charming smile and coy How I Met Your Mother diversion, you’ll notice that she’s avoiding the question. This means that it’s likely we’ll either see her in more upcoming cameos, or maybe even a supporting role later on down the line now that her HIMYM duties are almost complete.

Speaking of her duties on How I Met Your Mother being complete, the show is currently in the middle of its ninth and final season, one that the creators had to fight for due to the fact that nobody quite wanted the show to end so soon.

“It’s very bittersweet…It’s just been wonderful and it’ll be really, really sad to see it go but we’ve been on for nine years and I’m just glad we’ve been given this season to wrap up the show the way the creators have always wanted it to end.”

When it came to extending the show by one more season, Smulders said “We all wanted it to work so badly that it did.”

We’re all sad to see How I Met Your Mother go, but we’re excited to see Smulders in every project that she chooses from here on out, whether it be the upcoming Delivery Man, the hotly-anticipated Avengers 2 (which she hasn’t read a draft of yet), or the sure-to-happen second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Will you be seeing Cobie Smulders in ‘Delivery Man’ this Thanksgiving?
